Hezbollah destroys Israeli Merkava shelling Lebanese towns, villages
The Resistance carries out a series of operations against Israeli occupation military sites and positions in support of Gaza.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced on Saturday carrying out a number of operations against Israeli targets in northern occupied Palestine.
In a series of statements, the group reiterated that the operations are in support of "our resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and their courageous and honorable Resistance."
Hezbollah said it conducted the first operation at 11:20 am, targeting the Israeli al-Assi military site, facing the Lebanese village of Mays al-Jabal, using appropriate weapons and confirming direct hits.
At noon, the party's Resistance fighters targeted the Birket Risha site using appropriate weapons, the statement read, adding that the strikes achieved direct hits.

In the third operation at 2:00 pm, Hezbollah targeted the Israeli "Biranit" military barracks and its fortifications with rockets. The Resistance said the rockets hit the targets accurately and directly.
Almost immediately after the attack on "Biranit", the group's Resistance fighters struck at 2:25 a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Hounin Castle (the occupied Lebanese village of Hounin), using appropriate weapons. Direct impact was achieved, the party confirmed.
Another gathering of occupation soldiers in Tayhat Hill was targeted at almost 3:00 pm. The group's statement said the attack was carried out using rockets and confirmed direct hits.
Responding to Israeli aggressions on southern Lebanese towns and villages, the last of which was on Yarin, and in continued support of Gaza, Hezbollah announced striking the "Shtula" settlement using appropriate weapons, confirming that the operation resulted in the damage of one of its buildings.
Conducting operation number 7 at 4:00, the Islamic Resistance said its fighters targeted the Roueissat al-Alam military site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms. Hezbollah said the attack was carried out using rockets, confirming direct hits.

An Israeli Merkava main battle tank was destroyed and its crew was killed and wounded after being hit with an anti-tank guided missile ATGM launched by the Resistance's fighters at 4:55 pm. The tank, stationed in the "Metulla" military base, was involved in the Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and villages.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that ATGMs launched from Lebanon targeted the Israeli "Shomera" site in northern occupied Palestine.
