The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah conducted dozens of operations on Tuesday, targeting invading Israeli occupation forces and Israeli military sites deep into occupied territories.

These operations come in defense of Lebanon, as well as in support of the Palestinian people and their Resistance and in response to Israeli crimes against civilians.

The Israeli military command announced the death of two of its troops as a result of confrontations near the Lebanese-Palestinian border.

A soldier from the 91st Division's 7338th Reserve Artillery Brigade's 508th Battalion was killed near Neot Mordechai, due to rockets fired from Lebanon. Three other reservists from the same battalion were seriously injured as a result of rockets impacting their area of operation.

In another battle, the deputy commander of the 9308th Battalion, which is subordinate to the 146th Division's 228th Reserve Infantry Brigade, Major Aviram Hariv, was killed in southern Lebanon.

In a similar context, Israeli media reported that Ziv Medical Center in Safad, located in northern occupied Palestine, received 14 injured Israeli troops on Tuesday alone.

4th Hermes UAV downed, 5 Merkavas destroyed on Tuesday

Among the 36 operations announced by Hezbollah's Military Media Unit, the Resistance said its air defense units shot down an Israeli Hermes 450 unmanned aerial vehicle over the town of Jibchit, at 5:40 pm (local time), adding that the UAV could be seen spiraling down to the ground as it went up in flames.

At the same time, Hezbollah's air defense units fired a surface-to-air missile at another Hermes 450, this time flying over the al-Iqlim area, forcing it out of Lebanese airspace.

In total, Hezbollah's air defenses have downed four Israeli Hermes-type drones, including the advanced Hermes 900 UAV, since October 15, 2024.

Hezbollah also released four statements on Tuesday, detailing the destruction of six Israeli Merkava tanks near the border.

Five of the tanks were destroyed by Hezbollah's anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), including one destroyed in the border village of Rub al-Thalathin on Monday.

Another tank was destroyed by Hezbollah fighters between Rub al-Thalathin and al-Taybeh on Tuesday, however, the Resistance did not specify the mode via which it was targeted.

The rest of the tanks were destroyed on the outskirts of Odeissah and al-Taybe, as well as in Misgav Am.

As of 5:30 pm, Hezbollah had destroyed a total of 26 Israeli Merkava tanks since the start of the ground aggression on southern Lebanon, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.
