Hezbollah downs Israeli Hermes 900 drone violating Lebanese airspace
Hezbollah's air defenses down yet another Hermes drone, using unspecified weapons.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced that its air defense forces downed an Israeli Hermes 900 drone, which was violating Lebanon's airspace on Saturday.
This marked Hezbollah's 11th operation for the day.
"In support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and [their Resistance], the fighters of the Islamic Resistance, at 8:50 on Saturday evening, 06-04-2024, downed an armed enemy Hermes 900 drone over Lebanese territories," the Military Media announced on Saturday.
On their part, Israeli occupation forces said that a surface-to-air missile was launched toward an Israeli Air Force unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in Lebanese airspace, which hit and downed it. The IOF said that the incident is being investigated.
Earlier on February 24, Hezbollah announced that its fighters successfully shot down a Hermes 450 drone over the town of Iqlim al-Tuffah in South Lebanon, using an unspecified surface-to-air missile.
The Resistance said in its statement that the downing of the drone "could be seen with the naked eye" and confirmed that "the eyes of its fighters will remain wide awake, will continue repelling the Israeli occupation's drones, and prevent the achievement of its aggressive goals."

It was not intercepted!!!
They lie a lot! The IDF said it was intercepted!!!
But it was targeting a Hermes 450 drone.
And it was successfully shot down! https://t.co/SBdDyYt6eG pic.twitter.com/Z6oSkODHsq
The incident marked a huge hit to the Israeli Air Force, which claimed unchallenged air superiority in the region. Later reports from the battlefield indicated that the Israeli military was employing a significantly smaller number of drones near the Lebanese-Palestinian border, fearing losses to its highly-prized multirole drones.
