Hezbollah launches swarm of drones at Israeli sites amid ops
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon continues to attack Israeli military sites in northern occupied Palestine as the genocide in Gaza protracts.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon on Saturday carried out numerous drone strikes using kamikaze drones, which targeted the headquarters of an Israeli brigade in Beit Hilel, northern occupied Palestine.
The operations cause immense damage as the drones accurately hit their targets. Moreover, another operation saw Hezbollah's fighters launch heavy Burkan rockets targeting the Branit Barracks in northern occupied Palestine, which also hit their targets accurately and caused extensive damage.
The Resistance underlined that the operations came in support of Gaza and in retaliation against the Israeli occupation's aggression in southern Lebanon, as the latter has been repeatedly bombarding civilian areas and killing civilians in the process.
Yet another operation targeted the Israeli Birket Risha site in northern occupied Palestine, with the target being hit accurately.
In a related development, Israeli media reported that a drone exploded in the Kfar Giladi area, located in the al-Jalil Panhandle. The explosion triggered air raid sirens across the area.
Simultaneously, the Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on southern Lebanese villages and towns. An Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Markaba and the outskirts of the town of Mhaybib, while artillery shelling hit the town of Aita al-Shaab.
Earlier on Saturday, Hezbollah also shelled the Israeli Marj site with rockets that accurately hit their desired targets.
Hezbollah posing a bigger threat
Israeli Channel 12 has reported that Hezbollah's air defenses include a formation that aims at the superiority of the Israeli air force in the northern occupied territories.
According to the channel, Israeli Air Force officials "realized that the danger posed by Hezbollah's growing air defense capabilities had increased."
The channel pointed out that Hezbollah succeeded in obtaining dozens of air defense systems from Iran, from shoulder-fired missiles to heavy platforms, which aim to "undermine the freedom of flight enjoyed by the Israeli Air Force in Lebanon, and undermining Israel's air superiority."
The Israeli channel touched on some of Hezbollah’s achievements in this regard, particularly in the current battle and in the last 11 months, noting that it "succeeded in shooting down 5 Israeli drones, including large and important aircraft, such as the Hermes 900 UAV," dubbed Kochav by the occupation, and noting that Hezbollah announced shooting down 7 drones.
Regarding the formation of Hezbollah's air defenses, the channel asserted it took several years and that "the first signs appeared about 5 years ago when Hezbollah began locking its radars on Israeli Air Force planes."
Going back to that time, in 2019, the channel reported that "an air defense missile was detected being fired at an Air Force drone," adding that "additional launches were monitored in 2020 and 2021 as well."
Regarding the transfer of air defense missiles, the Israeli channel reported that estimates in the Israeli army indicate that the missiles "arrived in Lebanon via Syria, and also via the sea."
