Iran's Navy to soon announce 'major mission' achievement
Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Iranian Navy, announced that the Iranian Navy has a "major mission" that will bring their efforts to a conclusion.
Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Iranian Navy, has announced that the force is working on a "major mission" and will soon reveal a significant accomplishment in international seas.
Irani divulged to reporters on Friday that “Currently, we have a major mission on our agenda where we are accomplishing its decision-making process. And we will bring our efforts to a conclusion soon and will witness another achievement by this force."
Despite Western attempts to depict the Indian Ocean as hazardous in the aftermath of the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) operations against Israeli ships, the commander underlined that Iranian naval forces have boosted their presence in the area.
"Despite the fact that the enemy is trying to portray the northern part of the Indian Ocean, particularly the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, as unsafe, the naval forces' fleets are still present in this maritime area not in the same way as before, but in a strengthened manner to secure the shipping."
He stated that all ships other than Israeli-related boats are transiting the seas securely.
"Today, all flags, except those representing anti-human and child-killing entities, pass safely through the waterways of the Indian Ocean, and the power of the Iranian nation is maintained in the depth of the oceans, which is commendable."
The Yemeni Military Media released on Thursday footage of the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) storming and detonating explosives on the Greek SOUNION oil tanker in the Red Sea.
The YAF said the vessel had violated the ban imposed by the YAF on entering the ports of occupied Palestine.
The video depicted the damage inflicted on the ship after it was attacked and showed the storming operation as it was underway at sea. A Yemeni Armed Forces soldier is also seen inspecting the interior of the vessel before preparing to detonate and set it on fire.

Earlier on Thursday, the leader of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi, revealed that the Yemeni naval forces carried out top-tier and major operations this week, including the "courageous and bold operation" of storming the SOUNION vessel.
He mentioned that two teams from the Yemeni naval forces boarded the ship in two phases, rigged it with explosives, and detonated it, destroying its cargo.
On August 22, YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that the SOUNION vessel was struck with accuracy while navigating in the Red Sea and was at risk of sinking.
