The equation established by the Resistance today is that any Israeli aggression will be met with a response, member of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc Loyalty to the Resistance MP Hassan Fadlallah told Al Mayadeen on Saturday.

"This equation is still in effect," he added.

"How it is carried out on the field is up to the Resistance and its leadership."

Commenting on the Israeli targeting of journalists on Friday, which led to the martyrdom of Lebanese Reuters reporter Issam Abdallah and the wounding of three others, the politician stressed that "any targeting of citizens will not remain without a cost, and it is our natural right to defend our land."

Expanding on how the Resistance chooses to implement the equation, Fadlallah confirmed that "it has its own vision and plans [covering all scenarios], and it will not disclose to the enemy any information about its operations."

He also affirmed, "The [Israeli] occupation has pushed the entire region into a war, at the core of which is Gaza, and the Resistance is in a high state of readiness, prepared for all scenarios and every military option."

Expressing his sentiments, he added, "Everyone feels the agony of what is unfolding in Gaza, but it is also coupled with a sense of pride in the achievements of the Resistance,"

"What Gaza is enduring is a colossal crime, and there exists immense confidence in the Palestinian Resistance."

This comes as the Islamic Resistance - Hezbollah - announced on Friday that it is retaliating to the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) bombardment of southern Lebanese communities by firing back at Israeli positions.

"In response to the Israeli attacks on Friday afternoon, Hezbollah fighters attacked Israeli positions," Hezbollah said in a statement.

Ready to act

During a mass rally in solidarity with Palestine earlier today, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed that the Resistance in Lebanon is fully prepared and is closely monitoring the progress of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, adding that when need be, the Resistance will act.

Qassem said Hezbollah is committed to the battle of resistance and liberation and the whole Umma is responsible for being involved in the confrontation with "Israel".

Qassem addressed the Palestinian fighters, saying, "You are an example for all the free people of the world."

The Hezbollah deputy chief also noted that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood is a successful, foundational, historic, and luminous operation that will last long in the future, serving as a fundamental lesson for all free people.
