Hezbollah MPs: Resistance is ready to confront any Israeli folly
Lebanese members of parliament from the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc toured the Lebanese south on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
During a visit to the southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil, a member of the Loyalty to Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, Hassan Fadlallah, spoke to Al Mayadeen, pointing to the steadfastness of the Lebanese despite the ongoing confrontations with the Israeli occupation.
Fadlallah told Al Mayadeen that the Resistance is being spurred on by the Lebanese people who have turned out in large numbers to participate in Eid al-Adha prayers in towns in South Lebanon and villages near the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
The Hezbollah MP stressed that the threats and actions of the Israeli occupation will not affect the Resistance, following multiple leaks and press releases issued by officials in the Israeli occupation forces against Lebanon.
He said that the Resistance "does not weaken, cower, or fear [an Israeli aggression], and is ready to sacrifice and pay the price [of defending Lebanon]."
Addressing diplomats and entities that conveyed Israeli threats to the Resistance's leadership, Fadlallah pointed out that they should "pressure (Benjamin) Netanyahu to stop the aggression on Gaza so that the other (supporting) fronts" would also see calm.
On the United States' role in the ongoing war on Gaza, Fadlallah said that the US administration could have halted the aggression on Gaza on the first day of confrontation "if it wanted to."
As for the ongoing operations of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, the MP said that Hezbollah's operations would continue to confront the enemy with top-tier responses, adding that "there are always surprises," yet to be unveiled in the Resistance's attacks.
Moreover, he stressed that the Resistance will not "give any gifts" to the Israeli occupation, as he referenced the security demands of Israeli authorities that have been converted by mediators.
He underlined that the Resistance will not award the occupation, through negotiations, what it has failed to achieve via military power, both in South Lebanon and Gaza.

Recurring Israeli threats against Lebanon underline inept military
Al Mayadeen also interviewed another member of the parliamentary bloc, Hassan Izz al-Din, who was visiting the coastal border town of al-Naqoura.
"No matter what you ['Israel'] do, we are here to stay, defending this land [alongside] the Resistance that confronts and defeats you on the battlefield," Izz al-Din stated, as he referred to a clear message conveyed by the Lebanese residents who did not leave their villages after more than 250 days of the war.
He also pointed to the recurring Israeli threats against Lebanon, saying that "we have been hearing them since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza."
The MP explained that the Israeli occupation "does not need an excuse" to attack Lebanon, however, it is not "capable of carrying out this action."
"They will think a thousand times before expanding the aggression," Izz al-Din said after noting the Resistance's advanced military capabilities.
"What the Resistance is doing is in the context of supporting the people of Gaza, weakening the occupation, dispersing its capabilities, and deterring it from committing any folly in Lebanon," he concluded.
