Hezbollah operations target Israeli sites, spying equipment
The Resistance in Lebanon continues attacking Israeli sites alongside the southern border, taking out espionage equipment and inflicting severe damages.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah announced Tuesday that it has targeted newly installed Israeli surveillance equipment near the Dovev military barracks. According to a statement from Hezbollah, the equipment was destroyed by a drone attack, with the Resistance fighters successfully hitting the target directly.
In addition, Hezbollah forces reportedly targeted buildings used by Israeli soldiers in the settlement of Netua using appropriate weaponry. The Islamic Resistance underlined that these operations were conducted in support of Gaza and in retaliation for ongoing Israeli attacks on southern Lebanese villages and civilian homes.
Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Tuesday that over 5,650 Israeli occupation forces soldiers have been injured or fallen ill on the northern front since October 7. The soldiers have been receiving treatment at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya and Ziv Hospital in Safed, according to the report.
Hospital directors have expressed deep concern over the uncertain duration of the confrontations in the north, which have now dragged on for 11 months. "We have been underground for 11 months, and we cannot see the end," the hospital officials stated.
Salman Zarka, the director of Ziv Hospital, revealed that his facility had treated approximately 450 soldiers injured in operations carried out by Hezbollah. "I'm not talking about operational accidents; I'm talking about gunfire, shrapnel, direct injuries. These are very large numbers," Zarka emphasized.
He further noted that the Israeli occupation was unaccustomed to prolonged wars. Zarka stressed the need to balance "life-saving treatment" with preparedness for treating a large number of wounded soldiers. He added that this balancing act was "exhausting and difficult, especially when there is no end in sight."
Israeli attacks on Lebanon
Meanwhile, Israeli military strikes on southern Lebanese towns and villages persist. A drone strike targeted the town of Majdal, and there has been heavy Israeli aerial activity over southern Lebanon, as reported by an Al Mayadeen correspondent.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center issued a statement confirming that the Israeli airstrike on Majdal injured three civilians. Another airstrike in the town of Chihine resulted in moderate injuries to one person, who was subsequently transferred to Jabal Amel Hospital for further treatment.
An Israeli drone also targeted the outskirts of the town of Nabatieh el-Fawqa, however, the missile that it launched did not detonate. The raid targeted an open area between the Dabsha and Ali al-Taher sites, which the occupation used before its withdrawal from Lebanon on May 25, 2000.
During the early hours of Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces opened fire with heavy machine guns on the town of Aita al-Shaab, causing extensive property damage. Israeli warplanes, reconnaissance aircraft, and drones continued to swarm overnight over the villages of the western and central sectors across Tyre and Bint Jbeil.
Throughout the night, the Israeli occupation forces fired flares over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line, accompanied by artillery shelling that hit the outskirts of the border towns of Dhayra, Ramya, and Aita al-Shaab.
On Monday, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that, in a failed assassination attempt, an Israeli drone struck a vehicle in Saida with no casualties recorded.
