In a series of operations on Sunday, February 18, 2024, Hezbollah targeted various Israeli military positions and sites, resulting in significant damage and casualties among occupation soldiers.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah declared that the operations are in support of the "resilient Palestinian people in Gaza and in solidarity with their brave and honorable Resistance."

At 2:00 pm, a gathering of Israeli soldiers near al-Baghdadi outpost was hit with rocket fire, causing direct casualties. Shortly after, at 2:45 om, two separate operations targeted groups of soldiers in the "Evin Menachem" and "Shomera" settlements, resulting in direct casualties among Israeli occupation soldiers.

'Constantly on the brink of war'

As Hezbollah continues striking Israeli bases along the Lebanese-Palestinian border, Israeli settlers and top officials are warning that the situation in the north is becoming extremely difficult and frustrating, pointing out the entity's inability to deter the Resistance as hundreds of thousands are fleeing their settlements in northern occupied Palestine.

Israeli media reported on Sunday that "the northern front is expected to witness additional days of fighting, especially after the Secretary-General of Hezbollah [Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah] threatened a very harsh response" to the two Israeli massacres committed against civilians in the Lebanese southern towns of Nabatiyeh and Souaneh last week.

The aggression on Souaneh led to the martyrdom of a mother and two children. Meanwhile, the Nabatieh massacre led to the martyrdom of seven members of the Berjawi family after Israelis bombed a residential building. Only one child of the family was rescued from under the rubble over 18 hours after the attack, while the father remains in serious condition in the hospital.

In a speech earlier this week, Sayyed Nasrallah vowed that "the enemy will pay with blood for its shedding of our women and children's blood in Nabatieh and Souaneh," considering this a serious development that should be addressed.

Hezbollah struck "Kiryat Shmona" on Thursday with dozens of Katyusha rockets, stating that the operation was only an initial response to the massacres.

Israeli Channel 12 added that "for this reason, there is a high state of alert and field readiness on the northern border."

"We are constantly on the brink of war," it said.
