Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon had affirmed the martyrdom of eight Lebanese civilians and the wounding of seven others after an Israeli airstrike deliberately targeted a residential building in Nabatieh on Wednesday evening. This increases the total Lebanese civilian death toll to 11 on Wednesday.
The martyrs belong to the Berjawi family, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA). Martyrs Hussein Berjawi, his wife and daughter Amani, and several other women and children were pulled out of the rubble.
The NNA clarified that the airstrike targeted a residential apartment located next to the Palestine Gas Station on Marjayoun Street. An Israeli-guided missile destroyed the apartment and destroyed the building.
Several ambulances from different relief and civil defense organizations rushed to the site of the attack and immediately began lifting the debris. The airstrike also caused significant damage to buildings and vehicles close to the targeted location.
Multiple injuries were reported, and ambulances and civil defense teams promptly transported the wounded to nearby hospitals.
The governor of Nabatieh issued a statement declaring the closure of official departments and offices in the governorate on Thursday, due to the security situation resulting from the repeated Israeli aggressions.
Most schools and institutions in Nabatieh and the surrounding vicinity will also be closed on Thursday to ensure the safety of students.

Israeli strikes kill 4 in South Lebanon, including mother, 2 children
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation military launched a series of airstrikes across several regions of southern Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of several civilians, including a mother and her two children.
The aggressions targeted the Lebanese villages of Souaneh, Adshit, and Chehabiyeh, before later expanding during the evening.
The attacks on civilian homes came after the Resistance carried out a significant operation earlier this morning, including a missile attack near the Israeli Northern Command headquarters in Safed, northern occupied Palestine. This marked the second strike against "Israel's" most vital military base in the North since October 2023.
Israeli media reported that at least 10 missiles were launched toward Israeli military bases and sites, killing an Israeli soldier and injuring 7 others.
