Hezbollah will not abandon people of Gaza: Senior Hezbollah official
The head of Hezbollah's Resources and Borders department tells Al Mayadeen that all major international powers, including the US, have requested direct talks with Hezbollah. Yet, he affirmed that the Lebanese Resistance has declined them.
"Israel" does not have the logistical ability to strike Lebanon, nor does it have the ability to strike Gaza, were it not for the [US airbridge] that works daily to supply Israeli occupation forces with weapons and ammunition, Chief of Hezbollah's Resources and Borders department, Sayyed Nawaf al-Mousawi told Al Mayadeen's Vodcast program.
He confirmed that Hezbollah has direct communication lines with major international powers, some of which asked the party's officials "to convince our brothers in al-Qassam Brigades of accepting the deal proposed to them," stressing that Hezbollah's response was that the Palestinian people and the Palestinian Resistance are the only ends with the right to make such decisions.
Al-Mousawi pointed out that what is happening today in Gaza is incomparable, stressing that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon will not abandon the Palestinian people in the besieged Strip, under any circumstances.
Since October 8, 2023, Hezbollah's Resistance fighters have been targeting Israeli occupation forces and military sites along the border with occupied Palestine, in support of the people of Gaza and the Palestinian Resistance. The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has reiterated that it will suspend its operations against Israeli targets once the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip comes to an end.
Touching on the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon's growing military capabilities, al-Mousawi said that Hezbollah continues to introduce new weapons and missiles in parallel to its confrontation with Israeli occupation forces at the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
He also revealed that the Lebanese Resistance now stores in its facilities within a month's time what used to take it over six months to accumulate, highlighting that Hezbollah continues to build new storage facilities and utilize new missiles; ones that are more precise and advanced for naval, ground, and aerial use.
