Hezbollah's precision rockets a grave threat to 'Israel': IOF official
Brigadier General Amir Aviv says Hezbollah's development of precision rockets will put great pressure on 'Israel's' air security systems.
"Israel" should develop an understanding of the significant strategic threat that precision rockets pose on it, an Israeli occupation army official said.
Reserve Brigadier General Amir Avivi discussed the threats that guided missiles pose on the occupation with Israeli Channel 13, pointing out that Israeli air security systems cannot deal with such a threat.
"The missile is not an artillery rocket, the latter is launched, and we know its trajectory, so it is easy for our systems to intercept these artillery rockets. However, the precision rockets are entirely different."
Avivi said that "Israel" should not underestimate Hezbollah's capabilities. The Resistance party holds a large arsenal of rockets and munitions that have been upgraded with guidance systems awarding them reduced miss distance.
The Reserve officer asserted that Israeli occupation forces had concentrated efforts for a long time to thwart Hezbollah's progression in this field. However, he denied that these efforts achieved every goal it sought, adding that Hezbollah is gradually accumulating its capabilities while "Israel" has no clear response.

Earlier in July, the former chief of Israeli intelligence, Major General Reserve Amos Yadlin, told the Israeli newspaper Maariv that "deterrence against Hezbollah is at its weakest."
He warned the Israeli public that the "Third Lebanon War" would be much more difficult for the occupation than previous ones. He also stressed that Hezbollah is the most dangerous military threat to "Israel".
Yadlin said that the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, developed a large military force that did not exist back in 2006. Today, Hezbollah has a larger arsenal of long-range point-precise missiles, and it is also trying to undermine Israeli air supremacy through the use of anti-air missile systems.
Tensions have recently risen between Lebanon and "Israel" after the latter's violations in the northern part of al-Ghajar — a town at the border with occupied Palestine — represented in the construction of a barbed wire fence and a concrete wall around the entire town, while Hezbollah has erected several tents as a countermeasure to Israeli actions.
