Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden, filed a countersuit against the owner of the Delaware computer shop who provided information from Biden's abandoned laptop about there being a potential influence on the US elections and improper business dealings, the Washington Post reported on Friday.

Biden filed the suit in the US District Court in Delaware, saying the store owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, had no legal right to copy and distribute his private information, WashPo reported.

Biden accused Mac Isaac and other persons of six counts of invasion of privacy, including conspiracy to obtain and distribute private information, the report explained.

As a result of Mac Isaac’s unlawful agreement and his conspiracy with others, Biden’s personal data was made available to third parties and then ultimately to the public at large, which is highly offensive, causing harm to Biden and his reputation, the report cited the suit as saying.

According to the lawsuit, the object of allegedly invading Biden's privacy and disseminating his data was not for any legitimate purpose but to cause harm and embarrassment, the report said.

This comes after Mac Isaac filed a lawsuit last year that has been the subject of numerous amendments. The plaintiff accused Biden of defaming him by stating that he received access to the laptop's data illegally, with other defendants including corporate-owned media outlets such as CNN and Politico, as well as the Joe Biden campaign.

The suit has been demanding a trial by jury, urging the court to oblige Mac Isaac and others to return any materials of Hunter's.

The latest development regarding Hunter Biden's laptop comes after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said Monday that Bank reports obtained in a subpoena have shown that a new member of US President Joe Biden's family has been involved in shady business dealings.

"There were three different Biden family members that received a cut from that $3 million, including a new Biden family member that's never before been included in any of these investigations," Comer told Fox News' America's Newsroom.

Comer is set to reveal who the person in question is, though it is unclear when that is supposed to be.

The representative highlighted bank records that showed that in March 2017, Walker had $3 million wired to him by two individuals linked to the Chinese government after Biden left the vice presidency at the end of the Obama administration in 2017.

Hunter is notorious for his involvement in numerous scandals, including substance abuse, commercial sex, infidelity, tax fraud, and, most likely, high-level corruption. Nonetheless, he was so far been able to elude prosecution.

E-mails recovered from Hunter's abandoned laptop show that he played a major role in the acquisition of millions of dollars in funding for Metabiota, a Department of Defense contractor specializing in research on pandemic-causing diseases that could be used as bioweapons.

Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin accused his Republican counterpart of acting on behalf of former US President Donald Trump, who had throughout his bid for the presidency in 2020 constantly addressed Hunter Biden's scandals and alleged ties to foreign governments.

Hunter Biden's personal calendar on the so-called "laptop from hell," which he left at a repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, in April 2019, revealed that between 2008 and 2016, the younger Biden and Schwerin met frequently with then-US Vice President Joe Biden.

It showed that Hunter had at least 30 business meetings with his father in the White House or the Naval Observatory, and Schwerin was allegedly invited to 21 of the 30 gatherings.

Given their refusal to assist House GOP investigators, Comer insisted that the Bidens have something to hide. Both the US president and his son have categorically denied any wrongdoing, however, Hunter has revealed he is under federal criminal investigation for tax evasion.
