In the aftermath of the shooting, Israeli forces carried out an incursion into Nablus city and faced violent backlash from Resistance fighters, as per Israeli reports.

Palestinian resistance factions praised the shooting operation in "Har Bracha", deeming it part of escalating actions in the West Bank in response to the occupation's crimes and genocidal war in Gaza.

The factions also called on Palestinians across the West Bank, occupied al-Quds, and the territories occupied since 1948 to escalate resistance, carry out painful and impactful operations against the occupation, and target its soldiers and settlers everywhere in Palestinian territories, in solidarity with the bloodshed in Gaza

Resistance engaged

Meanwhile, resistance fighters engaged in intense clashes against the occupation forces in the vicinity of the suburb district in the city of Nablus.

The Nablus Battalion of al-Quds Brigades reported its fighters had repelled occupation forces and fired heavily at them on Mount Dahiya and the Dahiya area.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades likewise reported repelling occupation forces from the Dahiya area.

Fighters from the Nablus Battalion of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, the military wing of the Fatah movement's Intifada, reported engaging in fierce clashes with Israeli forces using various weapons in the same area.

Since morning, the West Bank has witnessed clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli forces, specifically in Nablus, Beit Ummar, and Silwad.

Israeli forces also stormed Al Quds Street in eastern Nablus, where they were met by resistance fighters. The clashes resulted in one Palestinian being injured by live ammunition in the foot, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent.

Resistance fighters also thwarted Israeli forces in Beit Ummar, north of Al-Khalil in southern West Bank, after it was invaded by Israeli military forces.

In Silwad, north of Ramallah, resistance fighters also confronted invading Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades - Nablus Battalion reported engaging in intense clashes early Tuesday with Israeli forces that invaded Balata Camp, repelling them with machine guns and explosives.

West Bank Shifts Toward Gaza and Lebanon-Like Conditions: Israeli media

Israeli media outlets have expressed growing concerns over developments in the West Bank, likening the situation to that of Gaza and Lebanon amidst continued resistance against frequent Israeli military incursions.

Reports highlight the Israeli military's concerns regarding the increasing use of deadly explosive devices by Palestinian militants across the West Bank. These devices, reminiscent of tactics employed by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon during the 1980s, are said to pose a significant threat to Israeli forces operating in the region, as per reports.

The shift in dynamics within the West Bank is further indication of evolving military operations and the acquisition of advanced weaponry and capabilities by local resistance groups.

Israeli commentators suggest that these developments point out to a worrying trend towards a more entrenched and volatile conflict environment similar to that experienced in Gaza and southern Lebanon.
