IOF arrest 3 Palestinians in Silwad, east Ramallah
Israeli occupation units brutally and violently suppress and abuse Palestinian prisoners at "Ramon" prison ahead of the prisoners' open hunger strike.
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested Wednesday three young Palestinian men in the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah in the West Bank, after besieging a house, following confrontations that erupted during which the occupation soldiers fired bullets and tear gas canisters.
Israeli media reported that the IOF arrested the young men over claims that they participated in shooting operations, adding that one of them was wounded while being arrested.
In a related context, Resistance fighters targeted with live bullets the IOF, as they stormed the town of Ya'bad, south of Jenin.
In addition, dozens of Palestinians suffocated as a result of inhaling tear gas during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Al-Khalil.
It is noteworthy that the Israeli newspaper "Israel" Hayom pointed out that the last months have witnessed an increase in resistance operations, adding that Israeli mass arrest operations have become more complicated than in the past.
The newspaper added that every arrest operation in Nablus and Jenin turns into an armed confrontation.
IOF storm all sections of "Ramon" Prison
In another context, Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation said the repression units of the Israeli Prisons Authority stormed all sections of Palestinian prisoners in "Ramon" Prison and carried out a fierce attack against the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) prisoners.
The foundation added that the occupation units brutally and violently suppressed and abused the prisoners, amid rising tension in all sections of "Ramon" Prison.
For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners Information Office said that tensions in "Ramon" Prison came after the Prisons Authority wanted to carry out its so-called security examination of the prisoners' rooms.
Israeli Channel Seven reported that there are Israeli fears of an Intifada erupting inside the occupation prisons and in the West Bank.
This comes at a time when the Palestinian Captive Movement announced that the first batch of prisoners, consisting of 1,000, will begin their hunger strike on Thursday.
The decision of the Palestinian prisoners comes after the intransigence of the occupation in reversing its decisions related to the arbitrary transfer of prisoners, in order to cover up its failure in Operation Freedom Tunnel last year.
On his part, the head of the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, Qadri Abu Bakr, called on the Palestinian people to unite behind the prisoners and detainees in their battle that begins on Thursday, stressing that this integration reflects the features of a real victory that will be achieved.
Abu Bakr stressed that the second day of the hunger strike, Friday, will be escalatory and a clear message to the Israeli occupation system and its tools that harming prisoners harms all Palestinians.
