Confrontations erupted between the IOF and Palestinian worshippers who had gathered at the Damascus Gate of Al-Aqsa mosque following Isha and Taraweeh prayers.
Palestinians had confronted the Israeli occupation forces at the Damascus Gate on Saturday as well, as the area saw an increased presence of occupation forces. The situation grew stressful as they erected a steel fence on both sides of the gate and erected a mobile command center close by.
This happened in the aftermath of the Isha and Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa mosque, too, on the first day of the month of Ramadan, where 50,000 worshippers gathered.
