Nearly a dozen Palestinians were injured at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces at Damascus Gate in Al-Aqsa Mosque, occupied Al-Quds, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported.

The organization reported that 11 young men had been injured due to Israeli violence that varied from the use of tear gas and physical assault with batons.

Confrontations erupted between the IOF and Palestinian worshippers who had gathered at the Damascus Gate of Al-Aqsa mosque following Isha and Taraweeh prayers.

Palestinians had confronted the Israeli occupation forces at the Damascus Gate on Saturday as well, as the area saw an increased presence of occupation forces. The situation grew stressful as they erected a steel fence on both sides of the gate and erected a mobile command center close by.

This happened in the aftermath of the Isha and Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa mosque, too, on the first day of the month of Ramadan, where 50,000 worshippers gathered.
