Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that on Monday morning, Israeli forces launched intense strikes around the Saftawi area, northwest of Gaza City, and Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, while continuing their total blockade on the North Gaza governorate for the 17th consecutive day.

Our correspondent confirmed that Israeli artillery shelling is ongoing in Jabalia and its surrounding areas in the northern Gaza Strip, with continued appeals from those trapped under the rubble in Jabalia camp due to the relentless bombardment.

He added that two Palestinians were killed and others injured by Israeli artillery fire in the Saftawi area in northern Gaza.

Furthermore, an Israeli airstrike also targeted the western parts of northern Gaza City.

Commenting on this issue, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza described the situation as catastrophic, stating that "medicine and medical supplies are completely depleted."

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery heavily bombarded several areas northwest of Nuseirat refugee camp.

Our correspondent added that Israeli forces carried out artillery strikes and opened heavy fire on northern al-Bureij, in central Gaza.

Gaza Civil Defense: IOF systematically killing civilians, blocking rescue efforts

Gaza Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal told Al Mayadeen that Israeli forces are systematically killing civilians in northern Gaza. He emphasized that the Israeli occupation is employing a strategy of siege and starvation against the people of Jabalia, alongside direct killings.

Basal further stated that Israeli forces are preventing civil defense teams from accessing Jabalia and other northern areas, blocking rescue efforts for the wounded.

He accused the occupation of systematically destroying residential buildings in northern Gaza and employing a scorched-earth policy.

Basal also reported that Israeli forces are setting buildings on fire with residents still inside and demolishing shelters housing forcibly displaced people in Gaza and its northern regions.

He added, "The Israeli occupation is committing a holocaust against Palestinians in northern Gaza."

The spokesperson also questioned, "Where are the international organizations regarding the massacres, genocide, destruction, and human rights violations occurring in Gaza?"

'Israel' has blocked aid from Gaza since first of month: Exclusive

Palestinian sources informed Al Mayadeen on Sunday that Gaza is being isolated, besieged, and starved in the most severe way since the beginning of the aggression on the strip last year.

According to the sources, the Israeli occupation "relies on the armored and heavy engineering corps to carry out the isolation with a large force from its 401st and 460th brigades."

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) are using military tools in a concentrated and intensive manner in besieging the strip and targeting the northern part of the strip, the source explained, adding that the Palestinian citizens in homes and shelters are living in unprecedented famine and terror.

In addition, "the IOF have been preventing aid from entering northern Gaza since the beginning of this month."

The sources explained that the IOF have also bombed most of the water wells in the northern part of the strip, stressing it was shooting at "Anyone trying to reach a limited amount of water," and also bombed places where people attempted to produce limited quantities of diesel for hospitals and bakeries.

The IOF continue its bombardment of the northern Gaza Strip, preventing supplies of food, water, medicine, and fuel, destroying homes, and blowing up entire residential blocks, as well as besieging hospitals.
