This comes as Israeli occupation forces carried out overnight and early morning raids across the occupied West Bank, including home invasions and mass arrests.
In Nablus, Israeli troops detained two young men from the town of Sebastia, northwest of the city, after storming several homes and ransacking their possessions. Among those arrested were the wounded Ayman al-Shaer and former detainee Qutaiba Azem.
In Jenin, Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians from the town of Yabad—Awsam Hoshiyah and Imad Nwahda—after storming their homes.
In Ramallah, the occupation forces stormed the village of Kafr Malik and detained Hussein Mashhour along with his sons Fares and former detainee Qassam, while also seizing their vehicle. Later, Hussein was released, while his sons remain detained.

In Beit Lahm, 23-year-old Ubada Muhammad Quneis was arrested after the occupation forces stormed his family's home in Beit Jala. Meanwhile, several Palestinians suffered from tear gas inhalation during an Israeli raid on Beit Fajjar, where troops fired stun grenades and toxic gas, particularly in the western part of the town.
Since January 21, 2025, Israeli occupation forces have maintained an ongoing assault on Jenin and its refugee camp, resulting in the killing of 36 Palestinians, dozens of detentions, and the demolition of homes and buildings. The Israeli military has since widened its aggression to include Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps.
It is worth noting that the Israeli military and settlers have both escalated attacks across the West Bank, including in al-Quds, since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza. According to official Palestinian figures, more than 947 Palestinians have been killed, around 7,000 injured, and over 16,400 arrested.
IOF assault triggers worst displacement in West Bank
The latest Israeli military operations have triggered the largest wave of displacement in the occupied West Bank since the 1967 Six-Day War, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) highlighted on April 5.
UNRWA said the widespread and ongoing Israeli assaults constitute the longest continuous military campaign in the West Bank since the Second Intifada (uprising) in the early 2000s.
The agency described the situation in the northern West Bank as “extremely concerning", citing continued Israeli raids and mass detention campaigns. According to UNRWA, these operations have resulted in systematic destruction, forced displacement, and demolition orders targeting Palestinian families and refugee camps.
According to the United Nations, the Israeli operation has forcibly displaced over 40,000 people from refugee camps and surrounding communities in Jenin and Tulkarm.
