The Palestinian Public Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Palestinian Health Ministry of the martyrdom of 22-year-old Sharif Hassan Rabba after the Israeli occupation forces shot him south of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil, Ramallah on Thursday.

Palestinian Health Ministry said the occupation forces arrested the young man after he was injured as a result of getting shot and critically wounded, leaving him to bleed until martyrdom.

Local sources said the IOF stopped the young man's vehicle near the Al-Fawwar refugee camp in the Al-Dalbah area, south of Al-Khalil, and opened fire on the driver, who was left to bleed to death before being transported in a military vehicle.

A spokesperson for the Israeli occupation forces claimed during a press briefing that Rabba tried to carry out a stabbing operation near the village of Al-Fawwar.

In the aftermath, the Israeli occupation forces withheld Rabba's body, refusing to hand him over to the concerned health personnel or his relatives.

The latest crime brings the number of Palestinians martyred by the Israeli occupation since the start of this year to 43, including nine children and an elderly woman.

Renewed clashes between Palestinians and IOF in West Bank

Just this month, the Israeli occupation committed several crimes in the occupied West Bank, such as on Friday, when they fatally shot a young Palestinian man in south Nablus.

Israeli media claimed that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on the Palestinian man, Abdullah Qalalouah under the pretext of "attempting to attack an Israeli soldier at the southern entrance of the city of Nablus."

An Israeli Channel 14 correspondent reported that the young Palestinian man "got out of a taxi near the Shomoron Brigade square at the southern entrance of Nablus, attacked a soldier, and he was fired upon."

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced that it received Qalalouah's body after he was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces.

January; the bloodiest in the West Bank since 2015

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that "January is the bloodiest month in the West Bank since 2015,' as 35 Palestinians were martyred, including 8 children and an elderly woman, by the gunfire of Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers. Jenin saw the most number of martyrs, which is 20, falling at IOF hands since the beginning of the year.

The Ministry indicated that "the injuries that were recorded on the bodies of the martyrs revealed that all the shootings were concentrated in the upper parts of their bodies, mostly to the head."

The occupied West Bank and Al-Quds are witnessing intensive confrontations with the occupation forces lately, following the aggression against Jenin and its camp, which resulted in the martyrdom of 10 Palestinians, including an elderly woman.

Omar Tariq Al-Saadi, 24, succumbed on January 29 to the wounds he sustained a few days ago during the Israeli raid on Jenin.

Dozens of Palestinians suffocated, Sunday evening, during violent confrontations that erupted with the Israeli occupation forces in Jabal Mukaber in occupied Al-Quds, while an Israeli soldier was injured from stone-throwing during confrontations in Silwan.
