IOF rain central, southern parts of Gaza with intense airstrikes
Israeli occupation warplanes continue bombing the Gaza Strip amid fierce confrontations with the Resistance in Khan Younis city.
Israeli occupation warplanes launched intensive airstrikes targeting wide areas in the central region of the Gaza Strip, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported, adding that the Israeli occupation forces carried out intense fire belts on the al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the center of the Strip simultaneously with a series of airstrikes.
Several people were killed and others were injured in an Israeli shelling that targeted a house behind UNRWA schools east of al-Maghazi.
Our correspondent confirmed that 40 martyrs and 98 injuries were transferred Tuesday to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
In the central Gaza Strip, another Israeli strike targeted a residential building on Salah al-Din Street opposite the entrance to al-Bureij. An Israeli drone also opened fire in the vicinity of the governmental hospital in the al-Maghazi camp.
In the southern Gaza Strip, our correspondent reported the arrival of the bodies of three martyrs and 10 injuries to Abu Yousef al-Najjar Hospital, after the Israeli occupation shelled the al-Nahhal family's house in Rafah.
The Israeli occupation targeted the Asda' area in Khan Younis with fire belts heard in Rafah, according to our correspondent in Gaza. Israeli warplanes also carried out intense airstrikes on central and southern parts of Khan Younis city.
The Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Tuesday an increase in the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip to 22,185 martyrs, in addition to 57,035 injuries since October 7.
The Ministry confirmed that the Israeli occupation committed 15 massacres against families in the Strip in the past 24 hours, resulting in 207 martyrs and 338 injuries.
This comes as the intensity of confrontations between the Palestinian Resistance and Israeli occupation forces continues to escalate, coinciding with ongoing airstrikes and artillery shelling in the east and south of Khan Younis, south of the Strip.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, confirmed that its Resistance fighters engaged with an Israeli infantry force of five soldiers from point blank, with machine guns and grenades, east of the al-Bureij camp in central Gaza. According to the Brigades, the fighters managed to confront the raiding Israeli soldiers and return safely to their bases.
The al-Qassam Brigades also stated that its fighters targeted an Israeli military vehicle and a Merkava tank with al-Yassin 105 shells in the al-Bureij camp in central Gaza. They also shelled a gathering of Israeli vehicles and soldiers southeast of Khan Younis with mortar shells.
