IOF sense time is nearly up, rush to score achievements: Israeli media
A Yedioth Ahronoth report says that all the Israeli political leadership knew since day one that the declared objectives of the war on Gaza were not attainable.
The objectives declared by the Israeli political leadership regarding the war on Gaza are "unattainable," Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said in a report, adding that this fact has been known since day one.
Addressing the recent declaration made by the chief of the Israeli occupation army that forces are going to expand the scope of the ground offensive in the Strip, the outlet said that this reveals mainly two things.
First, it shows the northern gates of the Gaza Strip have not been cleared yet, as Resistance fighters are still emerging from tunnels and buildings, relentlessly pursuing and ambushing Israeli forces.

Secondly, the army senses that the end is drawing near and is striving to make further achievements before officially declaring a ceasefire
In this context, the newspaper pointed out that the goals set by the government are "unattainable," adding that this fact has been "evident to everyone since day one, as destroying and subduing the Resistance in Gaza is wishful thinking when it comes to the type of strike the occupation entity experienced on October 7.
The newspaper here stressed that "wishes alone do not constitute a military plan or strategy," and harboring overly optimistic expectations will "inevitably lead to disappointment, particularly among the fighting forces."
False claims
Despite the occupation's claims and objectives to "eradicate" the Resistance, ground developments reveal that this is not the case, with no signs that this will change shortly.
Palestinian Resistance fighters have continued to engage in fierce battles against Israeli occupation forces in various sectors of the Gaza Strip, inflicting heavy losses on the invading army, which is evident by the many footages released by Resistance factions, and Israeli media reports.

On that note, the Israeli army claimed earlier this week that its forces took control of Jabalia, following over 75 days of concentrated bombardment, which resulted in the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians, and nonstop attempts to advance since the beginning of the ground offensive.
However, confrontations with the Resistance are still taking place in the city amid heavy continuous Israeli strikes, refuting the Israeli announcement.
In a report discussing the developments in the besieged Strip, The Wall Street Journal indicated in a report that the Israeli forces are still combating an "unexpectedly fierce battle in northern Gaza," hindering the objective of expanding the invasion in southern Gaza, mainly Khan Younis; the center focus of the newly announced phase.
