The Jordanian Foreign Ministry has accused the Israeli occupation of violating international humanitarian law by storming Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza confirmed that there were martyrs and wounded in the Israeli attacks on Al-Shifa Hospital at dawn today, coinciding with raids launched by the occupation on the hospital courtyards.

According to our correspondent, most of the hospitals in northern and southern Gaza are out of service due to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Strip.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed that it ”condemns the raid of the Shifa hospital by Israeli occupation forces as the violation of international humanitarian law and the 1949 Geneva Convention on the protection of civilian persons in time of war, in particular.”

Israeli occupation forces have converted Al-Shifa Hospital into a military barracks, handcuffing a large number of its attending doctors and indiscriminately opening fire throughout the health facility as they storm patient wards without constraints, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Wednesday.

Furthermore, the IOF have cut off all communications in the hospital, isolating the facility from the outside world.

The Israeli army has been attacking Al-Shifa Medical Complex since last week as part of their attempt to destroy Gaza's health sector and damage the morale of civilians and Resistance fighters, who have been relentlessly confronting invading forces.

Our correspondent further noted that the Israeli forces stormed the dialysis department, the intensive care unit, and other specialized sections, as well as other critical parts of the hospital.

Al-Shifa Hospital is now the site of an ongoing war crime, the correspondent said, noting that the medical complex is under complete siege of Israeli tanks.

Erdogan: 'Israel' is a 'terrorist state'

As the Israeli invading forces are currently committing fresh war crimes at al-Shifa Hospital, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan acknowledged that "Israel" is engaging in "state terrorism".

“Israel is implementing a strategy of total destruction of a city and its people,” Erdogan says. “I say openly that Israel is a terrorist state.”

Speaking at the AK Party parliamentary group meeting in Ankara on Wednesday, the Turkish President urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to disclose the presence of the Israeli nuclear arsenal.

In his speech, Erdogan said Netanyahu's end was near, irrespective of his possession of nuclear weapons, receiving enthusiastic applause from his supporters.

"Your end is nigh, anyway, whether you have nuclear weapons or not," he concluded.

He further vowed that Turkey would implement measures to ensure the prosecution of Israeli political and military leaders in international courts.

Erdogan had previously slammed the United Nations and its Security Council on November 12, deeming them ineffective in addressing the mounting humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
