Iran and EU Negotiators to Discuss Nuclear Deal Next Week
European Union's Spokesperson, Peter Stano, confirms that Iran's chief negotiator on the nuclear deal will meet this week with EU's lead negotiator, Enrique Mora, in Brussels to discuss the resumption of the Vienna talks.
Iran's chief negotiator on the nuclear deal, Ali Bagheri, will meet this week with EU's lead negotiator Enrique Mora in Brussels to discuss the resumption of the Vienna talks, EU spokesman Peter Stano told AFP on Monday.
On Twitter, Bagheri wrote that he would be in Brussels on Wednesday to resume negotiations.
In the same context, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, received the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi.
Blinken said that his talks with Grossi focused on "monitoring" the Iranian nuclear file and the peaceful use of nuclear energy, noting that the US strongly supports the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In turn, the Foreign Policy Chief of the EU, Josep Borrell, revealed on Friday that Iran wants to hold a meeting in Brussels with EU officials who are coordinating the indirect talks between the US and Iran, as well as some of the other parties in the nuclear agreement concluded in 2015.
Bagheri and Mora had met in October 14th to discuss bilateral, regional, and international issues, as well as lifting sanctions on Iran and the situation in Afghanistan.
For his part, Iran's ambassador and permanent representative to the UN, Majid Takht Ravanchi, warned the Israeli occupation "against any miscalculation or military adventure targeting Iran and its nuclear program."
