Iran condemns US-UK attacks on Yemen for seeking escalation in region
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stresses that the US and UK are failing to "take immediate and effective action" to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
In a statement on Sunday, Iran strongly condemned the US-British aggression against Yemen, with Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani saying that the duo proved their support for war crimes and genocide committed in Gaza.
"With such attacks, America and Britain seek to escalate tensions and crises in the region, and expand the scope of war and instability," he said.
He further added that "certainly, this kind of arbitrary and aggressive military operation, aside from aggravating insecurity and instability in the region, will not achieve anything for these aggressor countries".
According to Kanaani, the US and UK failed to "take immediate and effective action" to stop the bloodshed by "Israel" in Gaza.

Only serving the needs of 'Israel'
Yemen was not the only country under aggression by the West.
Earlier this month, Kanaani stated that US airstrikes on Iraq and Syria are aimed at fulfilling "Israel's" goals only, as the continuation of such actions threatens peace and security at both regional and international levels.
The United States alleged that it had hit over 85 targets linked to the IRGC and its affiliated forces in Iraq and Syria responding to the recent attack on a US military base in Jordan.
In the ministry's statement on Telegram, Kanaani stressed that "US military strikes against Iraq, Syria, and Yemen only ensure the achievement of the Israeli regime's goals," adding that "such attacks involve the US government in the regional [conflict] more than earlier and overshadow the crimes of the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip."
