Iran denies NOTAM claims, urges dismissing 'hostile' media reports
Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has refuted claims of airspace closure, confirming no flight restrictions or NOTAMs are in place.
Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization has denied reports of airspace closure, affirming that there are no flight restrictions currently in effect.
Ja’afar Yazerlou, spokesperson for the Civil Aviation Organization, told IRNA on Sunday that no NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) has been issued regarding the closure of Iranian airspace or any portion of it.
He urged the public to disregard rumors circulated by "hostile" media, clarifying that claims of a NOTAM for November 4-6 affecting flights over Iran originated from a Hebrew-language tweet.
“The source of the claims shared on hostile websites and news agencies on a NOTAM issued for November 4-6 for aircraft passing through Iran was a Hebrew tweet, which is strongly rejected, and such claims are absolutely untrue," Yazerlou said, as reported by IRNA.

Yazerlou added that new temporary flight routes have been established, in coordination with the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff, to enhance planning for airlines using Iranian airspace during peak hours in the Middle East.
The spokesperson noted that while routine NOTAMs for airmen are sometimes issued, none have been released in recent days. If necessary, any NOTAM would require approval from the Civil Aviation Organization.
This follows US-supported Israeli airstrikes targeting Tehran, which led to the martyrdom of five Iranian Army air defense personnel but failed to achieve their objectives. The US and "Israel" anticipate retaliation from Iran and as such, misinformation about the timing of the retaliation has been propagated time and time again.
US, 'Israel' await a crushing response to atrocities
The United States and the Israeli occupation will bear the consequences of their atrocities, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned during his speech on Saturday.
Speaking on National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance, which commemorates the anniversary of the US embassy takeover by Iranian students on November 4, 1979, Sayyed Khamenei warned of the crushing response Iran would deliver in retaliation to the crimes carried out against the Islamic Republic and the Resistance.
Sayyed Khamenei stressed that Iran's operations were not "revenge", but rather "a logical action, an approach aligned with religion, ethics, and Islamic Law, in accordance with international regulations," confirming that Iranian officials are constantly developing their political and military readiness to confront any hostility.
He further assured his audience that Iran will not leave any aggression unanswered.
"For the Iranian nation, inspired by Islamic teachings, standing up against oppression is a duty. Confronting arrogance is a duty. Arrogance means comprehensive economic, military, and cultural domination and the humiliation of nations," he emphasized.
Recalling Iran's struggle and the challenges its people encountered at the hands of the global hegemony, he affirmed that the nation will move forward on its path of combatting, countering, and confronting global arrogance.
"The continuation of the Iranian nation’s path in confronting arrogance requires knowledge, thought, technology, and a roadmap,” Sayyed Khamenei said.
