Iran FM calls for UN action on Israeli nuclear disarmament
The Iranian diplomat stressed that the Israeli minister's nuclear threat reflects the regime's failure against the Palestinian Resistance.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to take action toward the nuclear disarmament of "Israel" after an Israeli minister acknowledged the potential use of a nuclear bomb in the Gaza Strip.
"Israeli regime minister's statements on the use of nukes testify to regime's true defeat against [the Palestinian] Resistance. UNSC & IAEA must act immediately & forthwith to disarm this ferocious & apartheid regime. Tomorrow's late. Full responsibility for this genocide rests with the White House," Amir-Abdollahian said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

On Sunday, Israeli 'Heritage' Minister Amihai Eliyahu said that dropping a nuclear bomb on the Gaza Strip was "one of the possibilities".
Following the statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suspended Eliyahu from participating in government meetings until further notice.

Syria calls for "Israel's" nuclear disarmament
On a similar note, a Syrian Foreign Ministry official on Sunday stated that Eliyahu's remarks further expose the terrorist and barbaric nature of the Israeli regime amid its ongoing genocide against the people in Gaza.
"The statements of one of the terrorists of the government of this usurping entity, who called for attacking the people of Gaza with atomic weapons, are new evidence of the state terrorism practiced by this entity, and its brutal, extremist racism, in light of the massacres and genocide committed by the aggressive Zionist entity against the Palestinian people," the official said.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry issued on Sunday a formal call urging the international community and the Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to take all necessary steps to unearth "Israel's" nuclear program.
"Syria calls on the international community and the IAEA to take all measures and take responsibility for the disclosure of 'Israel's' nuclear program," the statement reads, as quoted by SANA.
The ministry also detailed how Eliyahu's allegations confirm the presence of "Israel's" nuclear weapons.
"Statements by one of the terrorists of the government of this usurper entity [Israel] to strike the people of Gaza with nuclear weapons is a new sign of state terrorism," the ministry added.
