Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi announced Monday that more than 1,800 people have been injured in the latest Israeli strikes on Iranian territory, the vast majority of them civilians.
"At least 1,800 people were injured as a result of Israeli attacks, most of whom were civilians. As a result of the explosion in Quds Square, a total of 59 civilians were injured, and 12 of them died. One of them was a pregnant woman," Zafarghandi stated. Among the injured were 60 women and 15 children under the age of 20, including a four-year-old, while 35 women and 10 children were confirmed among the dead.
These figures reflect the scale of devastation caused by "Israel’s" large-scale and unprovoked aerial offensive, which targeted over 250 sites across Iran, including nuclear facilities, IRGC command centers, energy infrastructure, and densely populated civilian areas in Tehran, Isfahan, and Kermanshah. The bombing campaign also included the targeting of Al-Farabi Hospital, a critical regional health facility, in what Iranian officials denounced as a war crime and flagrant violation of international law.
The strikes claimed the lives of hundreds, among them senior IRGC commanders, nuclear scientists, women, and children. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian condemned the attack as "criminal" and "unlawful," warning that Tehran would issue a powerful and legitimate response.
That response came swiftly. Under Operation True Promise III, Iran launched a series of ballistic missile and drone strikes on Israeli military and strategic targets, including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and occupied al-Quds. Iranian forces deployed new-generation weapons, and their salvos inflicted dozens of deaths and severe infrastructural damage, challenging the credibility of "Israel’s" air defense systems. According to the Iranian Armed Forces, sensitive sites deep inside the occupied territories were successfully hit, and further retaliatory phases remain on the table.
Iran has vowed to continue its operations unless Israeli aggression ceases, with military statements warning settlers to evacuate target areas and avoid becoming "human shields" for what Tehran called a "reckless and doomed aggression."
