Iran plans on tripling its military budget, maps a 200% increase
In light of the regional instability, Iran has decided to spike its military budget, only a few days after "Israel" launched its aggression against the Islamic Republic.
Iran's government spokeswoman, Fatemeh Mohajerani, revealed that the nation has decided to triple its military budget in light of the recent regional escalations and tensions. According to Mohajerani, Iran's military budget is expected to see a 200% increase.
Regarding the Israeli aggression on Iran, the spokeswoman reiterated that the attack was a violation of Iran's sovereignty, adding that the Islamic Republic will exercise its right to respond at full-face.
The Supreme National Security Council would determine the timing and approach of the response, she further added.
"Israel thinks it can strike Iran's national unity through its actions, but it is only enhancing the Iranians' unity and harmony," she stated.
Mohajerani also affirmed that the foreign ministry's diplomatic endeavors are ongoing, stressing that "Israel's" plans to attack Iran have significantly decreased, noting that the solidarity some Western and European countries showcased with Iran following the Israeli aggression sends the occupation a clear message.
Khamenei: Officials to decide Iran's show of power against 'Israel'
During a meeting with the families of “Martyrs of Security” at Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran on Sunday, Iranian leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei stated that Iranian authorities are responsible for determining how to demonstrate Iran's power to the Israeli entity.
He emphasized the need to counter "Israel’s" miscalculations, noting that “They (the Israelis) need to understand the power, determination, and innovation of the Iranian nation and its youth.”
Sayyed Khamenei stated that it is up to Iranian officials to decide how to effectively communicate the power and determination of the Iranian nation to "Israel", emphasizing that actions should align with the nation's and the country's best interests.
He also acknowledged the importance of accurately representing "Israel's" harmful actions, advising against both exaggeration and underestimation.
