Iran, KSA discuss need for efforts to end regional aggression
Iran and Saudi Arabia's foreign ministers discuss regional developments, the Israeli aggression on Iran, and its crimes in Lebanon and Gaza.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed the latest regional developments during a phone call with his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Faisal Bin Farhan.
During the call, Araghchi extended his nation's appreciation for Saudi Arabia's firm stance and denunciation of the Israeli attack against Iran, demanding cooperation between all Islamic countries to stop the Israeli crimes in the region, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon.
In response, Bin Farhan reiterated his country's condemnation of the Israeli attack, which violates Iran's sovereignty and breaches its territorial integrity, stressing the need for monumental efforts to prevent the expansion of regional instability.
Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh reported that "Israel's" recent assaults on Iranian military sites caused only minor damage that was quickly fixed, during a speech to foreign military attachés and students in Tehran.
"The recent aggression of the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran inflicted slight damage on us, which we immediately repaired and replaced by making use of our own know-how and scientific power," Nasirzadeh said.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei reaffirmed the country's commitment to exercising its right to retaliate against Israeli assaults on its soil.
During a recent weekly press conference, Baghaei emphasized that Iran's impending response to Israeli attacks will be clear and resolute, guided by the nation's leadership. He articulated that "the nature of the response is linked to the severity of the aggression Iran has faced," indicating that the level of retaliation will correspond directly to the extent of the provocations.
