Iran's borders fully secured, shielded, IRGC Commander says
An IRGC commander confirms that the Corps forces are acting adequately and fiercely to guard, secure, and protect Iran and its borders.
Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) acts fiercely to stabilize sustainable and multifaceted security in the nation, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said in a meeting with the Corps Ground Force commanders in northeastern Mashhad on Monday.
Given the fluctuations in global security and Iran's strategic standing, Pakpour said the enemy's agenda includes destabilizing the region, particularly along Iran's borders.
The commander affirmed that border security remains shielded and emphasized that his forces are taking robust measures to enhance preparedness and develop their capabilities to counter the organized hostile plots aiming to destabilize the frontiers.
In recent years, the IRGC has implemented extensive plans for the development of border provinces and underprivileged areas, including the southeastern provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan.
