Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic will not restrict its response in the event of another war, pledging that retaliation would go beyond the battlefield and extend into political and economic domains.
Addressing lawmakers in Tehran, Ghalibaf said that "Iran's Armed Forces had devised a series of 'appropriate plans' to deter the enemies from committing any further miscalculations against the country."
He cited the Navy's recent Sustainable Power maneuvers as evidence of Iran's military preparedness and as a signal to adversaries.
"In any potential renewed warfare, Iran will no longer exercise self-restraint," he declared, adding that any aggression would trigger retaliation reaching "other spheres and locations."
Ghalibaf reflected on the "unprovoked Israeli-American war in June," praising the coordination of Iran's Armed Forces, government, and people.
Costs of the Conflict
This unity, he says, neutralized enemy plans aimed at destabilizing the country.
"By backing the military forces and the country's authorities, the people delivered the greatest blow to the enemies' designs," he said, describing Iran's response as a "Sacred Defense," recalling the nation's resistance during the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s.
The June aggression on Iran ended with a ceasefire after 12 days of exchanges. "Israel," which initiated the strikes on Iranian facilities, faced mounting costs during the escalation.
Analysts noted that these pressures contributed to "Israel's" decision to halt hostilities rather than extend the war.
The Parliament Speaker echoed Sayyed Ali Khamenei's earlier call for cohesion across Iran's executive, legislative, and judicial branches, reinforced by public support, saying that this solidarity remained the foundation of Iran's resilience in the aftermath of the conflict.
