Following his inauguration from August 2–5, Iranian President-elect Masoud Pezeshkian is anticipated to create Iran's new administration by the end of August, according to a spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's presiding board, Alireza Salimi.

The Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA) news agency quoted Salimi as saying: "The inauguration ceremony will take place between August 2 and 5 ... After the ceremony, the president has two weeks to present his government".

Within 15 days, Pezeshkian is expected to appoint ministers for his upcoming government, who will then undergo a vote of confidence.

The Guardian Council responsible for overseeing the elections has confirmed the legitimacy and accuracy of the electoral process, stating that no complaints or reports of irregularities were filed by the presidential candidates.

The runoff election, held on Friday, saw Pezeshkian secure 16,384,403 votes following an inconclusive first round on June 28. This election was held to elect a successor for late president Ebrahim Raisi, who tragically died in a helicopter crash in northwestern Iran on May 19, along with his Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several others.

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf met on Sunday with president-elect Masoud Pezeshkian to congratulate him on his victory in the 14th presidential election.

The meeting took place at Pezeshkian's office, where Ghalibaf underscored the full support of the Iranian legislature for the new administration after he won the presidency in a run-off election against candidate Saeed Jalili.

Ghalibaf highlighted the critical role of the parliament in supervising the new administration to ensure the progress of the country and the welfare of its people. He emphasized that effective oversight is one of the fundamental duties of the Iranian parliament.

Pezeshkian, in response, praised the enthusiastic participation of the Iranian people in the election, which saw over 30 million ballots cast. He called for empathy and genuine cooperation among all state bodies to address the country's challenges and promote national development.
