Sheikh Ahmad bin Hamad Al-Khalili, the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, voiced firm support for Iran's military retaliation against the Israeli aggression, calling the response a "firm and heartening" step that brings "a glimmer of hope for the permanent end of the Zionist occupation of the holy lands."
Al-Khalili's remarks came amid mounting regional tensions following a deadly Israeli airstrike on Tehran that killed 60 civilians, including 20 children.
The mufti praised Iran's bold military operation, Operation Truthful Promise 3, which saw over 200 missiles launched toward Israeli targets in response to attacks on Iranian residential areas, nuclear sites, and IRGC facilities. Israeli media confirmed a direct hit near the Israeli Security Ministry in Tel Aviv, as well as casualties at the Nevatim airbase in the al-Naqab desert. Iran's leadership has declared its full readiness to continue retaliatory operations if aggression persists.
"The decisive stance taken by the Islamic Republic of Iran opens a new path toward liberating Palestine and alleviating the suffering of its people," ," Al-Khalili said.
أثلج صدورنا رد #إيران الحازم، وفتح باب الأمل بأن ينتهي الاحتلال الصهيونـ.ـي البغيض للأراضي المقدسة إلى غير رجعة بمشيئة الله تعالى.

He also commented on the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and saluted global relief efforts, "What warms the heart is the continuous arrival of aid convoys from around the world to break the siege on our dear and steadfast Gaza."
'Pointless' Talks
Al-Khalili's message follows strong statements from Iranian officials rejecting Western calls for restraint. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi dismissed such appeals as "entirely unacceptable," asserting that "Iran will deliver a crushing response to any threat against its national security." He also criticized the silence of Western governments, particularly EU leaders who reaffirmed support for "Israel" even amid its bombardment of civilian targets in Iran.
Earlier today, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei made clear that Iran sees no justification for continuing nuclear talks with the United States while the Israeli aggression persists and Washington remains complicit.
He stated that dialogue under such conditions is "pointless," adding that Iran's priority is to respond to the attacks on its sovereignty rather than engage in negotiations with a party backing the aggressor.
