Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani lambasted the United States for its unwavering support for the Israeli occupation entity amid the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

Nasser Kanaani highlighted that "Israel" has killed 40,000 Palestinians, including 15,000 children, in Gaza in just ten months. He added that more than 100,000 others have been injured and thousands more remain under the rubble and missing.

Kanaani denounced US officials for labeling Palestinians and Resistance groups as "terrorists" while continuing to support the Israeli occupation entity as it commits atrocities.

"Notwithstanding, the US officials shamefully describe Palestinians and resistance groups as “terrorists” and the US government reaffirms commitment to defending Israel against “terrorists”!" he posted on X.

The Iranian diplomat pointed out that the US government is providing financial, military, and political support for the genocide committed against the Palestinian people.

He described the Israeli occupation as a "racist terrorist regime" that has been engaged during the past several decades "in the flagrant and systematic violation of the primary, natural and human rights of the Palestinian nation and perpetrating 'crimes against humanity' under the fully-fledged support of the West and the US in particular."

"This is not only a permanent and imperishable scandal for the US administration, but an international responsibility with the possibility of legal prosecution!" Kanaani concluded.

The spokesperson's remarks echo those of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who criticized Sunday during a phone call with the president of the European Council the double standards employed by the United States and some Western states, which have "emboldened the Zionist regime to become even more aggressive" and threaten world peace and security.

Pezeshkian indicated that these policies have aided Israeli assassination and heinous crimes in the Gaza Strip, as well as in regional countries.

He said that Israeli actions "pose a threat to the peace and security of the region and the world."
