Iran stresses support against 'bestial crimes" by 'Israel'
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warns that the continuous war crimes against Gaza will just further the possibility of expansion of the war's extent and the formation of new fronts across the region.
After meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday in New York, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reiterated his country's firm stance on supporting the oppressed Palestinian people in the face of "Israel's" "bestial crimes."
"The Islamic Republic has placed consistent support for the Palestinian people's liberating struggle and resistance with the aim of complete realization of their human rights, among the substantive principles of its foreign policy," he told Guterres, after stressing the condemnation of "Israel's" genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Iranian diplomat noted that silence by some countries and support by the United States has encouraged "Israel" to ramp up its deadly attacks against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank as he urged the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to act upon their duty quickly to support the Palestinian people's resistance.

Continued Israeli crimes may expand scope of war
Amir-Abdollahian also said that "Iran backs whatever political solution that would enable immediate cessation of the [Israeli regime's ongoing] crimes against humanity and genocide in Gaza, continuous transfer of humanitarian aid [to the Palestinian territory], and prevention of Gazans' forced displacement."
Meanwhile, he warned that the continuous war crimes against Gaza will just further the possibility of expansion of the war's extent and the formation of new fronts across the region.
The Israeli military was already forewarned by Major General Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), that a ground attack in Gaza would destroy its infantry.
"There is no way for the enemies to win in Palestine and they can do nothing else but aerial bombing. If they do anything on the ground, the Gaza dragon will eat them alive," the IRGC Commander said on Thursday, stressing that Gaza will be "Israel's graveyard".
Guterres: Gaza situation catastrophic
On the other hand, Guterres highlighted Iran's role in the region, as he requested the continuation of its diplomatic and constructive political efforts in the region.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza was illustrated as catastrophic by Guterres, after calling on both sides to enable immediate cessation and transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Amir-Abdollahian said the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations went above and beyond to prevent votes in favor of the Israeli entity in a unilateral draft resolution that the United States submitted.
Amir-Abdollahian told an IRNA correspondent, upon his arrival in New York, that a genocide of civilians is taking place in Gaza as a result of the United States and a few other countries' constant backing for the Israeli entity, and that the situation in the Middle East has reached a worrying point with the possibility of losing control by all parties involved.
