Iran supports any outcome reached by Palestinian Resistance: Advisor
The advisor to the Commander of the IRGC's Quds Force tells Al Mayadeen that Iran does not desire the continuation or escalation of the war in Gaza.
Advisor to the Commander of the Quds Force in Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, Iraj Masjedi, reiterated Iran's support for a ceasefire and the cessation of war in the Gaza Strip.
Masjedi told Al Mayadeen that Iran does not desire the continuation or escalation of the war in Gaza, especially since the Resistance movements are committed to negotiations, emphasizing that his country supports any outcome reached by the Resistance.
On Monday, Hamas informed mediators that it has agreed to a proposed prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal, awaiting a response from the Israeli occupation leadership. But later, the Israeli war cabinet approved a military operation in Rafah, claiming the Palestinian Resistance group’s response to the ceasefire proposal was "far from Israel’s obligatory demands."
Touching on Iran's Operation True Promise, which was carried out in retaliation to the Israeli aggression that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Masjedi pointed out that it served as a simple example of how Iran would respond if its territory, personnel, or citizens were threatened.
He mentioned that Iran has warned the United States and "Israel" against repeated attacks on the Iranian consulate, underlining that any such aggression would be met with a stronger response.
The IRGC official told Al Mayadeen that "Israel" was compelled to announce its interception of Iranian missiles to cover up its defeat, adding that with each passing day, the effectiveness and impact of Operation True Promise become more evident.
Earlier on Tuesday, IRGC Commander Hossein Salami considered that the Palestinian Resistance's Operation Al-Aqsa Flood brought the Israeli occupation entity to clinical death, and Iran's Operation True Promise proved that "Israel" is incapable of averting war.
