Iran will not hesitate to deliver a forceful response to any Israeli or American aggression, affirmed the new Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Mohammad Pakpour.
Pakpour stressed on Wednesday that “Iranian forces are at the highest level of readiness.”
He asserted that “Iran is fully prepared to respond powerfully to any mistake made by the enemy, just as it did during the past 12 days of war.”
The Iranian major general further stated that Iran’s leadership has never placed trust in “this brutal enemy,” emphasizing that trust will never be an option and that defending national sovereignty is a non-negotiable duty.
Pakpour, former Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces, had been appointed as the new Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, following the martyrdom of Major General Hossein Salami on the first day of the Israeli aggression on Iran.
"Israel" first launched an aggression against Iran on June 13, hitting nuclear and military sites, as well as residential areas, prompting waves of Iranian retaliatory missile attacks on Israeli targets in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The war also saw US aggression on Iranian nuclear facilities using massive bunker-busting bombs, followed by an Iranian retaliatory missile attack targeting a US military base in Qatar.
US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran and "Israel" had agreed to a ceasefire beginning Tuesday that would bring about an "official end" to the war.

Iran engaged in a covert war against Mossad, CIA, MI6
Meanwhile, Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence revealed that it is engaged in a complex and fierce intelligence battle with hostile spy agencies, including "Israel’s" Mossad, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and the UK’s MI6.
The Ministry indicated it is relying on specialized intelligence networks to gather sensitive and strategic information.
It noted that its surveillance operations also cover activities related to indirect nuclear talks and the behavior of the US President Donald Trump's administration.
According to the Ministry, it has provided senior Iranian leadership with accurate intelligence assessments based on analysis of the movements of regional and international adversaries.
This comes a day after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that Iran would not violate the ceasefire as long as "Israel" remained committed to it.
He also reiterated Tehran’s readiness to enter negotiations to secure the rights of the Iranian people.
