Iranian Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri affirmed that despite all the challenges imposed by its adversaries, Iran "has not and will not abandon its support for the Palestinian Resistance," noting that the country will remain steadfast on this path.

During his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, Ziyad al-Nakhalah, Bagheri stated that "Israel, after a year and a half of massacring the Palestinian people and killing women and innocents, has not achieved its goals and has failed in the face of the Resistance."

Al-Nakhalah also met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who reiterated Iran's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and the Resistance.

Pezeshkian stated that "Islamic countries must work together to help the Palestinian people and the people of Gaza rebuild their region with dignity," adding, "We can overcome all difficulties if we remain united and cohesive."

He further stated, "The breaking of the prestige of the great powers before the blood of the innocent was the result of 15 months of Palestinian resistance," noting that "no matter how much effort and resources were spent, it could not expose the criminal nature, genocide, and the face of the Zionist entity and its supporters to the world as clearly and effectively as the Palestinian Resistance did."

US 'foolish plans' for Gaza 'will lead nowhere': Sayyed Khamenei

Al-Nakhalah expressed deep gratitude for the unmatched support provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran, while also commending the heroism of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the courage shown in Yemen.

He pointed out that the occupation is now trying to achieve politically what it failed to achieve militarily, calling for heightened vigilance, as "the supporters of this entity are also preparing the ground for its success in the political arena."

Sayyed Khamenei's remarks on US plans

Two days earlier, the leader of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, received al-Nakhalah, congratulating him on the victory of the resistance in Gaza.

During the meeting, Sayyed Khamenei congratulated al-Nakhalah on the Resistance’s victory in Gaza, hailing the significance of unity, solidarity, and steadfastness among Palestinian Resistance fighters.

He noted, "The remarkable work of the leaders and fighters of the Palestinian Resistance in maintaining unity and solidarity while standing firm against the enemy and advancing the complex process of negotiations, as well as the patience and resilience of the people, have brought honor to the Resistance in the region."

Sayyed Khamenei addressed the Trump administration's plans for Gaza and Palestine, labeling them as "foolish" and destined to fail. He stated, "These plans will lead nowhere. Those who claimed a year and a half ago that they would destroy the Resistance in a short matter of time are now receiving their captives back in small groups from the Resistance fighters, while simultaneously releasing a substantial number of Palestinian captives in exchange."
