Iran vows reciprocal measures against UK, France, Germany sanctions
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson condemns the decisions of the European Troika and vows reciprocal measures.
Reports of Iranian arms transfers are "false and misleading propaganda," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani announced on Tuesday.
Germany, France, and Britain imposed new sanctions on Iran, claiming that the country has delivered ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the Ukraine war.
The European Troika said that Iran has escalated its alleged military support to Russia, posing a "direct threat to European security."
Moreover, they said that they now have "confirmation" that Iran has made such weapons transfers.
As a result of the alleged transfers, the European countries will cancel bilateral air services agreements with Iran Air. They also announced a plan to designate significant entities and individuals involved in Iran's ballistic missile program and the alleged transfers to Russia.
The three European countries released the statement despite Iran's continued denial of allegations of supplying weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine.

In his statement on X, Kanaani emphasized that such claims are intended to distract attention away from the West’s own role in providing military support to the Israeli regime amid its crimes in Gaza. He condemned these allegations as part of an effort to obscure the international community's responsibility to address Israeli war crimes and hold its backers accountable.
He reiterated that these accusations aim to divert attention from the ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza, which has led to the deaths of over 41,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children.
Kanani also criticized European countries, accusing them of complicity in the violence in Gaza through arms sales to "Israel", highlighting their double standards on human rights.
In response to sanctions imposed on Iran Air and the cancellation of bilateral air service agreements, Kanaani described these moves by the European Troika as part of an ongoing campaign of "economic terrorism" against Iran.
He vowed that Tehran would take reciprocal measures in response to these actions, which he argued were based on false claims of arms sales to Russia.
