Iran vows response to IRGC soldiers martyred in Israeli attack
The Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns the Israeli missile attack that resulted in the martyrdom of two IRGC soldiers in Syria, and vows to retaliate.
The spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Saeed Khatibzadeh, strongly condemned the Israeli missile strike that took place last night in Syria, and resulted in the martyrdom of two IRGC soldiers.
The two soldiers were Colonel Ehsan Karbalaeepour and Colonel Morteza Saeednejad.
Khatibzadeh said that the Israeli regime's criminal attack stems from the aggression, occupation and terror that are part of the occupation's very nature.
He further added, after offering his condolences to the families of the two martyrs and their comrades, that the brazen Israeli action will not go unpunished, and that one of the goals of the Resistance Axis in the region is to hold the Israeli regime accountable for its inhumane crimes.
This is the latest Israeli aggression to have targeted Syria, with the occupation having carried out air aggression in the vicinity of Damascus on Monday, resulting in the martyrdom of two Syrian citizens.
Moreover, three Syrian soldiers were martyred in an Israeli attack on Damascus, on February 24.
