Iran warns 'Israel' of 'dangerous consequences' of Lebanon strikes

Iran's foreign ministry warned the Israeli occupation Monday of "dangerous consequences" following the fatal attacks on civilians in Lebanon.

Foreign ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani described the Israeli bombings as "insane" and warned of "the dangerous consequences of the Zionists' new adventure".

The assaults are the most serious escalation since the war on Gaza Strip began on October 7.

According to Kanaani, the Israeli crimes in Palestinian territory and "expansion to Lebanon are a clear example of a serious threat to regional and international peace".

He harshly criticized the United States' backing of "Israel" and urged the United Nations Security Council to take immediate action to stop these crimes.

'Israel' expands aggression against Lebanon

This comes as the Israeli occupation continues its intense aggression against Lebanon, targeting its villages and towns in the southern and Bekaa regions.

The Israeli occupation did not spare villages and towns farther from the Lebanese-Palestinian border and targeted those in the al-Tuffah region, including the al-Zahrani, Nabatieh, and Saida provinces, as well as the village of Bouslaiya in the Jezzine district.

Three people were martyred and three others were injured in an Israeli raid that targeted an industrial facility in Toul, in the Nabatieh district. In Saida, others were injured when the occupation targeted two residential buildings in Babliyeh and Sarafand, according to the official news agency.

In West Bekaa, the Israeli occupation targeted the Mashghara Heights.

Thus far, at least 275 have been killed and 1,024 others wounded.
