Iran’s Ambassador to Saudi Araba, Ali Reza Enayati, posted on X that FM Araghchi stressed the importance of boosting bilateral ties.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan discussed ways to enhance their nations' bilateral relations in various industries, while stressing the need to hold constant discussions and collaborations to monitor their progress.

Araghchi and bin Farhan met on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, discussing pivotal regional and international issues, especially the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Araghchi congratulates Saudi National Day

The Iranian diplomat congratulated bin Farhan on Saudi National Day.

Iran’s Ambassador to Saudi Araba, Ali Reza Enayati, posted on X that Araghchi stressed the importance of boosting bilateral ties.

In March 2023, the two countries agreed to restore their diplomatic ties under a Chinese-brokered deal, after they had been severed in 2016.

Saudi King Salman sends Iran's Pezeshkian a letter on bilateral ties

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian a written letter on August 1 regarding bilateral relations between both countries. 

The letter was delivered by Minister of State Prince Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz during his visit to Tehran to participate in the Iranian president's swearing-in ceremony, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Earlier on July 30, Prince Mansour and his delegation met with Pezeshkian and delivered greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the new Iranian president. He also extended wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Iran's government and people.
