Irani: The only regional country which protects its economic security
Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Iranian Navy's Naval Force, expressed that ensuring the security of the country's economic security in the maritime is of utmost priority to the country's navy.
He added that despite embargos, Iran is the only country in the region that fulfills this heavy responsibility alone, noting that more than 90% of the country's trade is carried out by the sea.
He also touched on the self-sufficiency of the Navy, alluding to the imminent development of massive engines for diesel-powered ships.
It is worth noting that the Iranian navy has been to the Atlantic Ocean while completing its 75th voyage, which is the largest military mission in the history of the Iranian Navy.
