Iranian FM, Sayyed Nasrallah meet, discuss regional developments
Also in a phone conversation with the Iranian FM, the head of the political bureau of Hamas in Gaza thanks Iran for its support.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his accompanying delegation met on Friday with Hezbollah Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, in the presence of Mojtaba Amani, the Iranian Ambassador to Beirut.
Sayyed Nasrallah and Amir-Abdollahian discussed the latest regional developments, especially the Iranian-Saudi agreement and its repercussions on countries of the region, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon and occupied Palestine.
On Wednesday, Amir-Abdollahian arrived in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, after concluding his visit to Oman, on an official visit in which he discussed with Lebanese officials the latest developments in the region.
During his visit, the top Iranian diplomat praised the bilateral ties between Tehran and Beirut, saying that he had "suggestions and innovations aimed at improving the situation in Lebanon."
The visit to Beirut, Amir-Abdollahian said, came as a way for Iran to announce its "unwavering support for the people, the army, and the Resistance in Lebanon."
Al-Sinwar thanks Iran's political support for Palestinian people
In a related context, the Iranian Foreign Minister and the head of the political bureau of Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Al-Sinwar, held a phone conversation and exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
Al-Sinwar thanked Iran for its political support of the people and government of the Palestinian people.
A few days ago, Amir-Abdollahian affirmed in a phone call with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, the continued Iranian support for the Palestinian people and their resistance against the Israeli occupation.
