Iranian MFA says Iran to continue to stand for Palestinian liberation
In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, the Iranian Foreign Ministry hails the Palestinian Resistance, considering the most recent war in Gaza to have changed battlefield equations with the Israeli enemy.
Marking the 75th anniversary of the Nakba, the Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement, on Nakba Day, which is commemorated on the 15th of May of every year, reaffirming Iran's unwavering political, military, and popular support for Palestine.
The Iranian MFA stressed the significance of the continued support for the Palestinian people and their Resistance against the Israeli occupation government. The Palestinian cause, the MFA noted, meant the liberation of all occupied territories and the right of Palestinians to establish an independent and integrated state with Al-Quds as its capital.
Significantly, the statement emphasized that all of the political efforts offered during the last three decades could not have resulted in any real consequence, since they did not address the core causes of the situation.
Moreover, the statement asserted that the solution to the conflict required the return of all Palestinian refugees to their homeland, as well as a referendum with the backing of all Palestinian inhabitants, across various religious sects, to determine their own fate and the type of political system they would choose.

The ministry denounced the atrocities "Israel" committed against Gaza residents, who have been under siege for more than 18 years in what has become known as the world's largest open-air prison. Furthermore, the statement outlined that the criminal acts were a clear violation of international principles and laws, in addition to a gross violation of human rights.
In the same vein, the Iranian statement underscored that the deafening silence and inaction of "the Zionists' supporters and the so-called advocates of human rights have added to the Tel Aviv regime's insolence."
"Israel" must be punished, the statement underlined, adding that its officials must be punished for the most recent crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
"Undoubtedly, the unity and cohesion of the Muslim Ummah and the determination and will of all freedom-seeking governments and nations across the world to support the oppressed Palestinian nation is a necessity and responsibility and is considered an added value for the liberation struggles of the Palestinian nation," the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.

The statement also called the 1948 Nakba "one of the most painful tragedies" in history and the "creation of a cancerous tumor amidst the Muslim world and the strategic region of West Asia."
The statement also hailed the Palestinian Resistance for continuing on the righteous path seeking the complete liberation of Palestine. It condemned the inaction and silence of the international community in the face of such heinous crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
It hailed the righteous path of the Palestinian people and the resistance groups to achieve freedom in the face of the Israeli regime's terrorist and criminal acts, as well as the painful silence and inaction of the international community.
It was also underlined that the Palestinian people, Resistance groups, and soldiers achieved major successes via unity, which completely transformed the equations on the battlefield.
According to the ministry, the Palestinian Resistance factions' deterrent power is the Palestinian nation's shield against "the child-killing Zionist regime," which can no longer be disregarded.
"The process of decline and collapse of the temporary Zionist regime has begun," the ministry concluded, before reaffirming that the Resistance today is stronger than it has ever been.
