Iranian Pres. urges Muslim countries cooperation to stop Gaza genocide
Iraq and Iran's presidents reiterated in a phone call their support for Gaza and urged cooperation between Muslim countries to halt the genocide.
In a phone call with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi emphasized the necessity of cooperation between countries of the Islamic world to stop the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against Palestinians.
Raisi stressed that the religious and humanitarian responsibility of putting an end to the Israeli genocide against Gaza falls on all Muslims and free people of the world.
From his end, the Iraqi president stressed the necessity of strengthening ties between both countries "away from the conspiracies of the greedy" further reiterating the importance of cooperation between Islamic countries to find a practical program to realize the rights of the Palestinian people.
He added that not only are some countries not aiming to resolve the issues at the root of the Palestinian cause, but are in fact further complicating them.
Liberation of al-Quds central cause for Iran
Raisi had earlier said on April 4 that the liberation of occupied al-Quds is Iran's top priority.
"Any weakness or security breach in any Islamic country affects us all," he stressed during an iftar hosted by Tehran for the foreign ambassadors in Iran.
He went on to reiterate Iran's support for "the resistance movement in the region and in all Islamic countries that are defending their homeland."
The Zionist regime, he underlined, has not yet achieved its goals "in the face of a resistance force that has nothing but a will of steel."
Regarding the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, President Raisi stressed that the attack and the occupation's crimes in Gaza "of killing and genocide are a sign of failure and defeat, not a sign of strength."
Addressing the "enemies of Iran," Raisi said they could not halt its support for the Resistance and the Palestinian cause through sanctions, stressing that they were in the wrong.
President Raisi concluded by emphasizing that "the US is the unjust supporter of Israel, and the world today hates them more than ever before."
