Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib has officially announced that Iranian intelligence services have acquired a vast cache of highly sensitive documents related to the Israeli occupation’s nuclear and military infrastructure, calling it a major breakthrough in the country’s intelligence capabilities.

In televised statements reported by Iranian media, Khatib described the operation as “complex, extensive, and multi-faceted,” involving the recruitment of individuals to access high-level sources. Though details of the mission remain classified, he confirmed that the operation had taken place some time ago but was only now being disclosed for security reasons.

Khatib stated that the materials obtained include comprehensive files on the Israeli regime's nuclear facilities, strategic military projects, and intelligence coordination with Western states, particularly the United States. The minister emphasized that these files “strengthen Iran’s offensive capability,” suggesting a significant shift in Tehran’s strategic positioning.

“We obtained complete nuclear documents and documents on the entity’s relations with the United States and other countries,” Khatib said, referring to the Israeli regime. “This is not merely about thousands of pages; this is an intelligence treasure of strategic, operational, and scientific value.”

He noted that the information was safely transferred into Iran, but declined to specify how, citing the sensitivity of the methods used. “The ways in which these documents were brought into the country are just as important as the documents themselves,” Khatib added. “For now, we are withholding those details.”

Intelligence operation marked landmark success

Calling it “a very significant intelligence event,” Khatib said the mission marks one of the most important intelligence operations in recent years. “What we obtained is truly a treasure in terms of strategy, operations, and practical military planning,” he said.

Iranian state television reported that further revelations will be made soon, with Khatib expected to disclose select details of the operation and the contents of the documents in the coming days.

While the specific impact of the documents remains unclear, Iranian officials are framing the event as a major intelligence victory against "Israel", amid an ongoing shadow conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv involving cyber warfare, covert operations, and proxy engagements across the region.

"Israel" remains adamant on its path to force Iran to cease any form of uranium enrichment, something Iran has repeatedly refused, asserting its right to enrich uranium.

According to a Wall Street Journal report published on May 30, "Israel" is increasingly alarmed that the United States, in its efforts to secure a renewed nuclear deal with Iran, might make concessions on what it views as essential and non-negotiable conditions.

Netanyahu has consistently argued that "a bad deal is worse than no deal," echoing "Israel's" deep reservations about the current nuclear negotiations. Analysts cited by the WSJ have pointed out that "Israel" would struggle to carry out a successful military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities without backing from the United States.

A WSJ source familiar with "Israel's" strategic planning said the Israeli occupation had prepared to execute a military strike against Iran earlier this year. Still, it delayed the operation following a request from the Trump administration, which sought to preserve space for diplomatic negotiations.
