Iranians rally for Int'l Quds Day, echoing near victory in Palestine
On International al-Quds Day, millions have taken to the streets in support of Palestine, including senior Iranian and Palestinian officials, amid calls for a free Palestine.
International al-Quds Day marches were launched in Iran on the last Friday of the month of Ramadan, coinciding with the arrival of the bodies of the martyrs of the Israeli aggression against the country’s consulate in Damascus.
People took to the streets in a show of solidarity with Gaza and to condemn "Israel's" crimes in Palestine.
According to General Ramadan Sharif, the spokesperson of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), pro-Palestine rallies will be held in more than 2,000 locations across the country.
During the rally in Tehran, a funeral for the Iranian advisors martyred in the Israeli airstrike targeting the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus was also held.
In a brief speech, General Sharif revealed this year's slogan for the march: "Quds Day, from al-Aqsa Flood to the Flood of the Free."
Several senior generals and officials also attended the marches, including the IRGC Quds Force commander Brigadier General Ismail Qaani and Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, as well as the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement Ziyad al-Nakhalah and the chief of staff of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Abu Fadak al-Mohammadawi.

'Victory is inevitable'
During the march, Ziyad al-Nakhalah affirmed to Al Mayadeen that the Resistance factions remain unified under the principle of the Unity of the Battlefields, from Iran to Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria against the Israeli occupation.
The PIJ official said that with the unison of the Resistance fronts and the resilience of the Palestinian people, victory against "Israel" is inevitable. He added that the Axis of Resistance is at its strongest, noting that what is happening on the Lebanese and Yemeni fronts only further proves the cooperation between all fronts to fight "Israel" to the fullest.
On his part, the Iranian Defense Minister told Al Mayadeen that "Israel" will be dealt a mighty blow for its assassination of the Iranian advisors in Syria.
Championing Palestine further, Ashtiani said the Palestinians' victory is imminent and inevitable, and stated that the people of the world and the Resistance forces in the region all support Palestine and its liberation.

Meanwhile, the PMF chief Abu Fadak al-Mohammadawi, during his participation in the al-Quds Day march in Tehran, said, "The Popular Mobilization Forces are an integral part of the battle of Gaza and Palestine."
"We are awaiting the decision of the Revolution's leader to see what is next and what the response to Israel's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus and the killing of the IRGC leaders will be," he affirmed.
The Iraqi leader continued to say that the unfolding events in the Axis of Resistance are but a prelude that ushers in the inevitable end of "Israel".
'Israel' on the brink of collapse
International al-Quds Day was instated by Iran's leader Sayyed Khomeini in 1979 and is commemorated every last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
This year's al-Quds Day is of paramount importance due to the circumstances surrounding its commemoration, namely the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing since October 2023 with utmost impunity exercised by "Israel".
Speaking during the al-Quds Platform Day, two days before the al-Quds Day, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah underlined that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood put the Israeli regime on the brink of collapse and demise. Relevant signs will materialize with time."
"We must work on emerging from this battle victorious, and we must deal a mighty blow to the enemy and all its backers," Sayyed Nasrallah concluded.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, on the same platform, said, "This entity is closer today than ever before to internal collapse," noting that "the demonstrations in the region and the world have essentially formed a media siege on it."
