The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed al-Sahhaf condemned, on Saturday, the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. Al-Sahhaf, said in a statement, that "Iraq expresses its condemnation and denunciation of the Zionist aggression, which targeted various areas in the Gaza Strip, and resulted in the death of a number of Palestinian citizens, including a little girl, and the injury of others."

Al-Sahhaf added that "the language of violence adopted by the Zionist entity foretells further tensions and perpetuates a climate of hostility," stressing that "this will only lead to an escalation and aggravate the situation without reaching any solution."
