Iraqi Hezbollah: Officials Aware of Al-Kadhimi's Fabricated Assassination Attempt
Iraq's Kataib Hezbollah refutes Iraqi National Security Advisor's statements about Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi's assassination attempt.
Iraq's Kataib Hezbollah (Hezbollah Brigades) said Tuesday that security officials, politicians, and ambassadors of major countries are well aware that al-Kahdimi's assassination attempt was "fabricated."
The Brigades argued that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi was not present at his residence the moment the explosion occurred.
In a statement, Iraq's Kataib Hezbollah demanded proof of al-Kadhimi's presence when the incident happened, by presenting only 10 additional seconds of the footage.
They also demanded footage from inside al-Kadhimi's house the moment the missile fell.
The statement pointed out that National Security Advisor Qasem al-Araji confirmed the use of C4 explosives, while expert technicians know that C4 is not used in this type of missile.
Regarding the neighboring residents' testimonies, the statement questioned the people's credibility and wondered where were the US radars at the moment of the explosion.
"Where are the wounded service workers, bodyguards, and al-Kadhimi's advisors? Who are they? Where are the remnants of the alleged missile?"
The Hezbollah Brigades called for the release of the officers assigned to the investigation so that they can publicly present the evidence they have found.
The statement also stressed that the recent parliamentary elections entailed the biggest fraud and deception in the history of Iraq.
On November 7, the Security Media Cell in Iraq announced that Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhemi had been subjected to a failed assassination attempt using an attack drone.
